FARMERS MARKETS AND FOOD CO-OPS Hero’s Welcome General Store: U.S. 2, North Hero, Saturdays 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (July-August). This multi-level cafe, bake shop, art gallery, gift shop, and community gathering place hosts a farmers market in the summer months for area growers. Information: 372-4161 A number of farmers sell their vegetables at roadside stands. These include Pomykala on East Shore Road in Grand Isle, Montani’s on U.S. 2 in South Hero and Hackett’s on South Street in South Hero. The Apple Farm Market on U.S. 2 sells Vermont food products. |
