MUSEUMS AND HISTORIC SITES
Thomas Chittenden Grave, Town Cemetery, Williston Road: grave site of the state's first governor.
Williston Historical Society, 688 Williston Road: The society has restored a local one-room schoolhouse and moved it to a site near the new school on Williston Road. An exhibit of local artifacts is on display at the town library.
Williston Historic District: Many of the buildings along U.S. 7, near the town offices, date back to the mid-19th century when the local economy was dominated by agriculture. The 1842 Town Hall and the current Town Hall, built in 1860 as a church, are worthy of note and built in same red brick as the 1832 Old Brick Church. The district also includes many Green Revival and Federal period buildings.
