MUSEUMS AND HISTORIC SITES
The Birds of Vermont Museum, Sherman Hollow Road: exhibition
of 350 carvings of more than 300 species of birds by naturalist
Bob Spear. The museum includes a nature trail, scheduled activities
and an exhibit on endangered and extinct species.
Green Mountain Audubon Nature Center, Sherman Hollow Road:
trails over a wide variety of natural habitats on 230 acres. Programs
include interpretative workshops and educational camps for children.
Huntington Historical Society, Lower Village: based in the
community's 1829 union meeting house, the society building contains
a collection of local artifacts and memorabilia.
