MUSEUMS AND HISTORIC SITES

The Hyde Log Cabin, U.S. 2: The oldest log cabin in the United States, built by a frontier settler, Jedediah Hyde, Jr. in 1783. Restored and furnished by the Grand Isle Historical Society.

Farmhouse on the Lake, 116 West Shore Road: Built in 1801, the house was one of the first brick farmhouses built in the area.
